  • July 19 D-day! The packing crew has landed....we set up the house in the last month as much as possible for them, now the next 2 days it is up to them. As for every move, this is the most stressful part of the move for us, apart from opening the boxes and seeing how the packing crew did. After moving so often, across country and international, I am still fascinated by how they load. It really is an art form, and the load master is key. The one we have is great and I had to take a pic of the inside like a puzzle. By the time the truck was loaded we had 432 pieces on the inventory sheet!

  • What a great way to start a road trip, with pain au chocolat, baguette jambon fromage from a French bakery in Los Alamos

What a great way to start a road trip, with pain au chocolat, baguette jambon fromage from a French bakery in Los Alamos

Started our road trip to Canada on July 23rd, drove 3050km, stopped for overnights in Bishop CA, Ely NV, Pocatello ID, Bozeman MT, Glendive MT, Fargo ND, and today crossed the border into Canada and arrived in Winnipeg. We had a smooth trip and enjoyed a few scenic spots along the way. We drove through Yellowstone, which we had also done on our move from Comox BC to Denver CO, 7 years ago with Max. Max passed away in Colorado and for our return to Canada we have Matix.

  • Driving through Nevada for 2 days, hours and hours of nothing but desert, barely anyone on the road, is impressive. I literally felt like we were driving on earth after humanity vanished
